Standing just 14 inches high, Kuro emphasizes a low, grounded presence. As the first piece in the collection to be charred, it marked the beginning of a deeper exploration into fire as a finishing process. The flame reveals the natural depth of the grain and leaves behind subtle variations unique to every piece before the surface is protected with a durable matte finish.
Material: untreated kiln dried 2×6 & 4×4 pine, threaded steel rods, steel washers, bolts and end caps.
Finish: Hand-charred and sealed with a durable matte, water-based protective finish.
